Part 4 may be soon????
Well thats what the good people at bttf.com are suggesting at the moment. It would be good, but would it be as good? The rumours suggest it may revolve around Clara and/or Doc with their kids Jules and Verne being the central characters giving Cameo appearances by Michael J. Fox and possibly other original cast members. Who knows, this may be a good step but personally you can't improve perfection :)

Is Part 4 Upon us???
Well maybe, who knows. More recent rumours have revealed that they may be a Part 4 within the next couple of years, although it is thought that the McFly story has been run dry. Although the technology for ime travel is still there for new stories and adventures.
Apparantly, there is a script in the air, of about 150 pages in length but there will be no part 5. Expect a movie to appear no later, no sooner than 2003.
Further rumours are based around the re-release of the trilogy in theatres. With new DTS soundtrack and re-prints (similar to Star Wars) however the idea was penciled in for a US release of July 4th, so don't epect this to happen. The DVD project is the only one in development at the minute with all the efforts concentrating on it's Christmas Release.

ZEMECKIS NOT INVOLVED
According to the latest news and work related to Director Robert Zemeckis, it seems that, in his opinion, he will not be involved in any future installments related to Back to the Future.
In his own words.....
"Michael J. Fox and Christopher Lloyd are getting pretty old, for one. And secondly, sometimes ... certain genres or series of films ... should just be over. ... Let 'em go."

I know it's been a while but the news on the sequels have been pretty slow, what with the DVD releases. Any way the following rumours attached to part 4 and 5 are like this.
At present, Robert Zemeckis is being pursued for some form of involvement. Whether to direct or as Executive Produce is unknown due to him not being available until late 2001/early 2002. One or two sequels are in the process of being made by an unknown writer but I have been informed he is well known. If the sequels do not go into production, then Universal do have the rights to create a live action TV series. But personally, I would hope that this does not go ahead, because it wouldn;t be the same without the regular cast members from the trilogy.
On a different note, a new Back to the Future film is definitely being made, and that is the new enhanced digital version of the Back to the Future THE RIDE. This should be ready next year.
